Meet Our Board of Trustees
I have been on my spiritual journey since my teen years and, in the early 1980s, I joined and became very active at Unity Center of Walnut Creek, staying involved there for over 25 years. I was a trainer and co-leader in the creation of the Peace Wall (tiles) now located at the entrance to Unity Center of Walnut Creek and co-facilitated our 2010 plan for expansion.
I began attending our Brentwood Center for Spiritual Living about 6 years ago and from that moment forward I consider our Center my SPIRITUAL HOME. I have served as the Secretary of our Board for the past 4 years. I love to be of service and give generously to support all sources from which I am spiritually fed.
We moved from the South Bay to Discovery Bay in 2004. I had a great spiritual community where I previously lived and was looking for like-minded people in the new area.
My wife and I found Brentwood Center for Inspired Living and have been a grateful part of the community since January of 2012.
In 2016, I joined the board of trustees and became the treasurer in January 2018. Julie and I feel blessed to be a part this loving community!
I am so grateful to have found Brentwood Unity Center for Inspired Living. I love our center because the message resonates with what I know in my heart, that we are all one and all God; and because the members are so warm, friendly and thoughtful, and care deeply about connection to Source. I can always count on the services and classes to lift my mood and connect me to the love, peace and joy that we truly are.
I became a member of the Brentwood Unity Board in 2019 and now serve as secretary. I am thankful and delighted to have this opportunity to serve our wonderful community.
I grew up with the principles of Spiritual Living and taught to listen to the small still voice in my heart for guidance and direction. I learned about affirmative prayer when I discovered Ernest Holme's "way of Life" called Science of Mind in the 1960's.
I have been a member of Brentwood Center for Inspired Living for eight years since I moved to Antioch to live with my daughters in 2010. It is my joy to coordinate the prayer and healing team - our prayer Angels - and to be in service to all.
Florence Cleisz joined Brentwood Center for Inspired Living in 2013. In 2015, Florence stepped onto the board and has assisted and uplifted our center in a variety of ways.
Currently, Florence is the kitchen lead and recycling manager. She is ready to lend a hand whenever possible.
I came to Brentwood Center for Inspired Living in 2012. I am so grateful for finding this community. After going to many classes and workshops, I have learned so much about myself and how to tap into Love and Gratitude.
I have learned that I am love and I don't need someone else to love me to be ok. I have found a loving family here at the Center and now enjoy having many friends.
